Cat Grooming Services

We provide gentle, stress-free grooming for cats without sedation. Our approach uses low-stress handling and tender care.
If grooming causes excessive stress, we may refer you to a veterinarian for sedation (minimum fees apply).10418900_10152137472267136_8166949563761622892_n
Most cats tolerate grooming well—sometimes even better than dogs!

Please note:

  • We only groom cats that are compliant, anxious, fearful, or shy.
  • Aggressive cats are not accepted for safety reasons.

Appointments

  • Days: Monday to Thursday (during school hours)
  • By appointment only
  • One-on-one grooming (one cat per Groomer)
  • No early drop-offs or late pick-ups

    Why Regular Grooming?

Cats who are regularly groomed are healthier, more comfortable, and less stressed. Owners are happier, too!

    Benefits include:

    • Less shedding at home
    • Fewer mats and tangles
    • Reduced allergens and dandruff
    • Shorter, less stressful visits
    • Nails trimmed every time
    • Cleaner sanitary area
    • Correct tools checked for home use
    • Early detection of health or skin issues

    What to expect

    • Bathing: Hand-washed with cat-specific products, blow-dried (or box fan dryer if needed)
    • Clipping: May change coat colour/texture, especially after matting or health issues
    • Safety: Elizabethan collars may be used; grooming may be discontinued if stress signals are high. We prefer you to be present for the first grooming appointment.

    Maintenance Schedules

    • Bathing & Blow-Dry:

      • Hairless/Rex: Every 2 weeks
      • Persians/high-maintenance: Every 4 weeks
      • Medium/long-haired: Every 6–8 weeks
      • Short-haired: Every 8-10 weeks
    • Clipping:

      • Teddy & Comb Clips: Every 6–8 weeks
      • Lion Clips: Every 10 weeks
      • Nail Caps: Every 6 weeks

    Why Bath Cats?

The skin naturally produces sebum (oil), which coats the skin and hair. As your cat’s coat goes through its shedding cycle, hairs in the resting phase often become trapped by these oils, leading to matting and increased shedding when they rub against surfaces.

Bathing helps remove excess oils, dander, and dirt, preventing matting and reducing allergens. It also loosens hairs in the resting phase, allowing them to release during the bath and blow-dry.

Blow-drying further separates the hairs, reducing dandruff and undercoat, while aiding the de-shedding process.

Together, these steps provide a complete de-shedding treatment, improving coat health and comfort. When performed regularly—aligned with the natural shedding cycle—we can effectively manage excessive shedding and prevent matting. Dr de-shedding does not achieve this due to the oils and static. This only works on a regular schedule.

See before and after: Bath, blow-dry, de-shedding.

    Senior Cats

We require senior cats to have a vet check within the last 6 months to prevent issues during or after grooming.

Medication may ease the grooming process for senior cats, as arthritis can cause pain when their joints are manipulated. We prefer to avoid this by seeking veterinary treatment advice before grooming. *A veterinarian may give medical intervention for pain and comfort reasons

    Behaviour

Given the unpredictable nature of cats, if we decide not to proceed with grooming, we carefully evaluate the cat’s stress signals and body language and make an informed decision. We may ask for veterinary medication to be administered to cats with aggression or pain reasons.

The groom can be discontinued at any time at the Groomer’s discretion.

(eg 4 weekly, 1st groom) N/A if never groomed before.
(Age at first grooming, biting, doesn't like brush, fear, bad experiences, muzzle, dryer fear etc.)
We require all cats over the age of 7 years to have a vet visit in the last 6 months. This helps to prevent any existing issues from arising during or after the grooming appointment.
Please add if any matting/knots are present and location.
Please note that mat removal will fix the matting problem, but a regular grooming prevention appointment is necessary for feline coat and skin health. If your cat is always matted for grooming, the cat can become aggressive for grooming. We will not groom once a year matted shave-off. (repeated neglect causes pain)
We are open school hours only Mon to Wed only by appointment. Some Thursdays. Closed public holidays.
Please note we receive a high number of enquiries every day. Please check your junk email for a response. We will not respond if no available appointments.
